Erin Miller Arnold of Five and One is pleased to be offering a Spring Workshop at The Studio

We are so excited to offer a Kids Scarf painting Workshop just in time for Mother’s Day! Perfect gift for Mother’s Day for yourself or for any special Mom in your lives…

When: Saturday, April 28 & Sunday, April 29
Who: Kids Ages 7 & Up
Cost: $50 per child (sibling discount available)
Available sessions:  12:00, 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00 each day!
Location: The Studio  Space is limited, more times will be added based on demand…

Session includes:
• 1- Silk Scarf
• Surface Design instruction and demonstrations
• All supplies included

Instructor: Erin Miller Arnold, Artist and Textile Designer, with a BFA in Fiber from the Kansas City Art Institute. Your child will be introduced to different surface design techniques, supplies and equipment. We will start out by looking at lots of samples and talking about fabric and Surface Design.

We will have some sketching time, planning out our designs, and looking at inspirational items. Then your child will create their one-of-a-kind work of art. The scarf will stay here at the studio where it will be steamed, set, washed, and ironed. I will gift wrap and will deliver their creation to you in plenty of time for Mother’s Day. The result will surprise you and the scarf will be treasured for many years to come!
The Studio is located just west of Metcalf on 79th Street in Downtown Overland Park. You can drop your child off and enjoy walking to the Farmers Market which is just across the street!
